Undated Buses
NCT 732, Galena Drive Nottingham, Undated (1986?)
732-SCN-20200328-001
Not a route that lasted very long, due to both lack of use and deregulation! Following a study by Nottingham City Council, a seried of Accessline services were introduced using five of these third hand Bristol LHs - new to West Yorkshire PTE, then used by Merseyside. Bristols in the NCT fleet were unheard of, as were ECW bodies - and the livery was quite different too!
This service ran as a loop via Sneinton, Porchester, Carlton Valley and Forest Fields, but from memory only the first run made the complete clockwise loop, and only three the anti-clockwise one. It was not well used , at least on this section, although elements survived into the dereguation era network.
732 truns off Briarbank Aveneue on to Galena Drive, in an era where 1960s housing estates with limited off street parking could still be traversed easily - the view today would be absolutely clogged with parked cars.
