Trentbarton 102, 107, Derby Bus Station, 07-01-2017
The new Mickleover livery is certainly bright! Two of the new buses wait for their next journeys.
Even in the old bus station, The Mickleover was given two bays, which created capacity problems at times, especially if two Allestree buses were in. The curved platforms meant it was inevitable that parked buses encroached on the space for running through, and the whole layout was designed for buses of the 1930s, not the bigger ones of the 21st Century. Whatever about architecture, the old facility was not appropriate to modern needs and no other site was sensibly available as an alternative.
