A hired-in bus had been seen working a Dublin-bound Bus Éireann X12, so I went into the twon to hopefully get the return working. Sadly, it was operated by a BÉ vehicle, so just a few shots in the afternoon sunshine.

I was expecting a Jerry Ryan coach on this, which had been seen working the 1130 from here to Dublin. However, it either worked back empty, express or on an alternate journey as LC23 appeared, running over 20 minutes late. It is seen departing Portlaoise to return to the motorway for its onward journey, Expressway not deigning to serve the smaller communities on the old N7.
