Portlaoise (Bus), 01-09-2017 (Electric Picnic Arrival Day)
It's that time of year again! The Electric Picnic music festival, held at Stradbally in the grounds of the Cosby estate, is the last big festival of the summer in Ireland and attracts high profile acts - some of whom I know as it is aimed at least in part to a more mature audience!
As in previous years, local operator Martleys have provided a shuttle service from the railway station to the site 11km away, which is very well used and gives the opportunity to get shots of vehicles normally used on school work, and therefore less easy to photograph.
There are two locations in this gallery; first at the station, observing boarding operations, and second on the N80 just outside Portlaoise viewing vehicles heading home after dropping the revellers.
