The GNR(I) operated buses as well as trains, and in the 1930-1950 period built their own chassis, partly to meet their own needs and ideas, but also to reduce import charges. Bodies were supplied in various ways, including in knocked-down form for local assembly.
This particular example has a GNR(I) body built on Park Royal frames, and is one of the last batch of such buses, dating from the period 1950-1952.
