Portlaoise (Bus) Electric Picnic Arrival, 02-09-2016
The Electric Picnic music festival at Stradbally is one of Ireland's biggest such events. The nearest station is at Portlaoise, and as in previous years a bus shuttle is in operation throughout the event, operated by local firm Martleys. Festival goers load their bags into the coach for the short trip to Stradbally. Portlaoise comes alive with backpackers, many apparently buying copious amounts of alcohol from the local supermarkets and off licences.
