NCT 476, Turney Street Nottingham
With the New Bus Grant being phased out, and manufacturers getting behind with deliveries, the first significant break from the Nottingham Standard occurred with the purchase of 10 vehicles with virtually NBC standard Roe bodies. Some Nottingham modifications were added, the lozenge shaped window behind the door to improve driver visibility, and the HELP bumper being two such items.
When new, they were in a slightly different livery with more cream and black window surrounds, but by the time of this photo standard livery was applied. Initially the batch spent much of ther time on the Sneinton Dale and Carlton Valley / Porchester Road corridors departing from Long Row East.
